Margaritas – Rimann Liquors

Margaritas

As we enter the summer months we are focusing on margaritas and other drinks using tequila.  We have several recipes submitted by bartenders from some local establishments as well as our very own team members.

Hampton House Wife Margarita

Submitted by Derek Vetter of Kokopelli Mexican Cantinanear 95th and Nall in Prairie Village.

2oz White Tequila

1 ½ oz Triple Sec

1 Fresh Squeezed Lime

3 Splashes of Soda Water

Heavy Splash of Grapefruit Juice

Splash of Cranberry Juice

Serve in a tall salt rimmed glass with a fresh grapefruit pinwheel.  Enjoy!

 Blueberry Cilantro Margarita

Submitted by David Smuckler of Tavern in the Village, just a few doors down from Rimann Liquors of Prairie Village.

2oz Silver Tequila

1oz Elderflower Liqueur

½ oz Simple Syrup

6-8 Fresh Blueberries

1 Small Sprig of Cilantro

Muddle all ingredients.  Shake with ice and serve.

CCKC Margaritas

Submitted by Laura Laiven, founder and owner, of the Culinary Center of Kansas City in downtown Overland Park.

Blend together:

6 Large Cans Limeade

18 Cans Water

1 1/2 Cups Triple Sec

3 Beers

Tequila to taste (1/5 to 2/5)

For Smaller Groups:

Blend together:

1 Large Can Limeade

3 Cans Water

1/4 Cup Triple Sec

1/2 a Beer

Tequila to Taste (1 Can)

Note:  If using commercial lime concentrate (small group recipe), start with 1/2 pack, sugar to taste and then add more if necessary.

Brian’s Bloody Maria

2 jiggers (3oz) tequila

1 1/2 cups tomato juice

2 T fresh lime juice

1 t prepared horseradish

1 t Worcestershire sauce

1/2 t hot sauce

2 long pieces peeled jicama, as garnish

In a small pitcher, combine all ingredients and stir well.  Pour into 2 tall frosted glasses with about 1/2 cup ice each.  Garnish with jicama.

Waylonrita

1 part Premium Silver Tequila

1 part Gran Marnier

1 part fresh lime juice

Shake with ice and serve.

Agave Nectar Margarita

Featuring Monin Agave Syrup from our Party Shop.

Ice

1 ½ oz Premium Silver Tequila

1oz Lime Juice

½ oz Triple Sec

½ oz Monin Agave Nectar

Fill Shaker with ice and pour ingredients into shaker. Cap shaker and shake until cold, strain into glass.with ice.

This recipe features the Desert Pear syrup from our Party Shop.  It can be made with your favorite Monin syrup.  We suggest the Kiwi, Strawberry, or Cherry flavors!

1 oz Desert Pear Monin Syrup

1 1/2 oz  premium tequila

1/2 oz triple sec

1 lime wedge

3 oz sweet and sour mix

Ice

Fill mixing glass with ice.  Add Monin Desert Pear syrup or other Monin syrup, tequila, triple sec, sour mix and juice from one lime wedge.  Shake for 15 seconds.  Top with extra ice and garnish with a lime wedge.
