I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you from the Rimann’s Family ( Marshall, Mary, staff and myself) for being loyal patrons before, during and after this unprecedented past few months. It definitely is a time in our lives we will not forget. Our prayers go out to the health care workers at the fore front, that they stay safe from this un-invited “guest” and to all families, friends and co-workers!
You have graciously allowed me to into your “home” with a small “slice” of my life……Cooking! I love to cook, try new ones and share my recipe’s, whether they are good, or maybe not so good, easy or hard or hand me downs, sometimes not knowing who or when they were given to me. -Ann Pontow
Today’s Recipe is easy, inexpensive and was first served to me many, many years ago and is still a big favorite of my family.
TATOR TOT CASSEROLE
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 1 – small onion – chopped
- 1 – 10 ½ oz can of Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 – 14 ½ oz can of French style green beans – drained
- 1 bag of frozen Tator Tots
- ½ cup of shredded cheese (any kind)
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon of paprika
Brown meat and onions until meat is no longer pink and onions are tender. In a large bowl combine meat mixture, green beans, cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Mix thoroughly. Spread mixture in a 13 x 9 baking dish. Top with Tator Tots. ( I place the tator tots in rows, touching (tight together) and covering the entire top of the dish).
Bake 350° about 30 minutes or until tots are done.
NOTE: Sometimes I use Cream of Celery soup and leave out the cheese.
